Micro-chalet, micro-vacances

Micro-chalet, micro-vacation

I said it, I did it!

In my last column (the first! 😊), I told you that I was increasingly prioritizing what fuels my happiness, such as nature getaways, time with my loved ones and art in all its forms.

This is what I did for the long weekend in October: I treated myself to a 5-day stay in Haute Gaspésie!

Nature, a source of infinite inspiration

This short stay began with a night in a rudimentary micro-chalet facing the sea with my lover. An aperitif on the "micro-terrace", well wrapped up, in the strong breeze, lulled by the sound of the waves, paradise! I dream of returning there for a whole week to paint, get some fresh air, walk and relax.

The next day, after a walk along the shore, we headed into the forest for our traditional weekend of camping (in an RV) and hiking. I love these long hours of hiking in the mountains, which combine physical challenge, breathtaking scenery, and meditation. Every step is an opportunity for gratitude: for my health, for the beauty of nature, and for the opportunity to escape despite my professional responsibilities. Thank you, life!

Efforts rewarded

These few days of freedom required a lot of planning and work in advance, because you don't leave your small business like that without having prepared everything and taken a step forward in order to meet your deadlines and commitments. I am lucky to be able to count on trustworthy people to replace me on occasion, but the production of the clothes, the management of the store and that of L'atelier 76 are my entire responsibility. That being said, for me, this kind of little vacation is so worth the cost! It refocuses me on my priorities, it helps me take a step back from the challenges at hand and it oxygenates my brain for what comes next.

Because, without a doubt, the holiday rush is well underway here. And I'm ready to tackle this crucial period for my business, refreshed and inspired by so much beauty!

Come on… Hop life! 😊
